"The Charitable Bracket Competition"
What is "the Charitable Bracket Competition?"
Every year CCChampions hosts “the charitable bracket competition.” By making brackets with us, families, friends, schools, and companies from across the country help support newly diagnosed children here in Pittsburgh.
Every $250 that a team pools together sponsors a local child cancer patient to meet his or her inspirational role model. Throughout the year we will send updates of the friendship you helped create.
Frequently Asked Questions
(1) How is this different from other March Madness pools?
It's just like your normal bracket pool, except you're donating the money you pool together in order to sponsor a friendship for a newly diagnosed child. Donations can be made online (when you make your bracket) or via check or cash.
(2) When does it start?
Feb 1st to March 5th - register your team
March 12th - brackets are released! - SELECTION SUNDAY -
March 16th - brackets must be submitted by noon - ROUND 1 -
April 3rd - the winner is announced! - CHAMPIONSHIP GAME -
(3) Do we have to like basketball?
Definitely not! Many of our teams donate money to sponsor a child in CCChampions without doing the March Madness brackets.
(4) How do I register my team?
Start by completing the form to the right or reaching out to us at March@CCChampions.com. We will email you with a few questions (team name, team picture, sponsorship goal, etc.) as well as some more information.
(5) How do we make our brackets?
Brackets can be made online (through our exclusive PickHoops bracket platform) or on paper. Online is best, but we can also complete all the data entry for paper brackets and provide round-by-round updates to you and your team.
